The Religious "wings" of U.S. Military Branches, wear Lapel Pins - such as a "Cross" or "Ten Commandment Tablets (Jew)), etc.

( just as Artillery wear "crossed canons" & Infantry "crossed rifles" on their Uniform Lapels )

Since these are "technically" Federal Employees, wearing a U.S. Uniform --

Does this "violate" the issue of those who believe in Separation of Church & State (or Mosque & State or Synagogue & State, etc.) ?

I really am interested in responses to this -- I am not just trying to be "funny".

Of course, I've read the Constitution and the most "overused" phrase -- "Separation of Church & State" came from Jefferson's Letters and only posed as "food for thought"

No, that is what is called their rating or job code insignia, The question would make more sense if you asked if they should do away with those jobs all together. My answer would be no, in order to have freedom of religion you have to offer the servicemen and women that right also.
